The Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots were one of the best rivalries the league had for years with, Peyton Manning on one side and Tom Brady on the other. It seemed to die off a little once Peyton moved on and eventually retired, but it quickly heated back up after the two franchises met in the playoffs and DeflateGate was born.
On Tuesday, the Colts announced they had agreed to hire Patriots OC Josh McDaniels as their new head coach, but that quickly went away after McDaniels reversed course and went back to New England. Early reports state that Robert Kraft was behind it all.
After addressing the media following McDaniels’ change of heart, GM Chris Ballard BOLDLY declared that the Patriots-Colts rivalry was back on:
"The rivalry is back on" 😯😯
