Vikings QB Sam Bradford will be active vs. Saints

The Minnesota Vikings managed to take full advantage of the bye week to rest up some of their veterans in preparation for their NFC Divisional Game versus the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. One of the names that could be set to return to the roster is quarterback Sam Bradford.

Although quarterback Case Keenum has enjoyed a stellar 2017 NFL season, it seems the Vikings will be looking to add some depth behind him for the playoffs. According to Ben Volin of the Boston Globe, Bradford will be active versus the Saints:

Here’s an interesting one — league source says Vikings plan to dress Sam Bradford on Sunday vs. Saints. He hasn’t suited up since Week 5 with a knee injury. Unclear if Teddy Bridgewater will also dress.

Bradford’s recent designation has raised questions regarding backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater’s role with the team. It is still unknown at the moment whether or not he will also suit up on Sunday. Bridgewater himself refused to give any indication on his pending status, according to Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press:

“I don’t know. So I’ll just leave it at that,” Bridgewater said. “I’m just not talking about it. Some things you don’t talk about. You don’t want to give away any tendencies to our opponents.”

Bridgewater added that he is indeed at full strength.
“I’m feeling great. Yeah, I’m definitely 100 percent,” Bridgewater said.
Minnesota has quite the enviable situation on their hands with three starter-worthy quarterbacks on their roster. However, it has been the Keenum show ever since Bradford was sidelined with a knee injury early in the season.
