Couple Adopts A Stray Cat And Finds Out That He’s Not Like The Other Cats

When Sara Nozaki and Grant Olson first adopted their stray cat Wilbur, they had absolutely no idea that they actually got a tiny person trapped in a cat’s body. The couple very quickly discovered that Wilbur sits just like a human!

“Grant was casually browsing the New York City subreddit, where he found a post with Wilbur’s picture saying, ‘does this cat belong to anyone?’,” Nozaki explained to the site LoveMeow. “Grant half jokingly commented, ‘hey, if you can’t find his owner, I might be willing to take him’.”

And just two days later – he did.

“His torso is either too long or his legs are too short, so he always sits in odd positions.”

When Sara and Grant first adopted Wilbur he seemed like an ordinary stray cat

Furbonacci Sequence Proving That Cats Are Purrfect (20 Pics)

Math seems to be the language of cats, and it is they who first discovered the so-called Fibonacci sequence.

No, it wasn’t the Indian mathematician named Pingala, nor Leonardo of Pisa. Cats got it first, however, they called it the Furbonacci sequence!

The site Bored Panda went ahead and collected its own list of cats fitting into the Golden Ratio.

No One Expected Her To Survive, But Wait Until You See the Transformation

This is Raggedy Ann!

When they first rescued this 14-year-old senior cat, she was the exact same weight as a 4-month-old kitten. And while no one really expected she would be able to recover, she proved them wrong!

Raggedy Ann’s weight was a skimpy 3 pounds and 15 ounces when Saving One Life – which is a rescue group located in Chandler, Arizona – first found her.

Just before she was rescued, Ann was living in a double-wide mobile home with 40 other cats and 2 dogs. She was literally skin and bones!

“When the director and I saw the photo, our hearts just broke!” explained Brianne Youngberg, who is a fosterer at Saving One Life.

“Our wonderful director agreed that she is the reason that Saving One Life exists but warned me that just from that photograph my fostering would more than likely be hospice care.”

“The first night she was home with me, she slept so soundly that at one point I swore she had passed. However, she proved us all wrong.” Brianne went on to say.

Luckily, Ann is a true and strong fighter and she began to recover, and with every day that passed, she even gained a few ounces.

Malnourished cats clearly need time for their body to get used to food. She could barely lift her head up at all due to muscle atrophy.

They went ahead and prepared a warm and comfortable environment just for Ann so that she could focus on healing.

“Everyday for the first two weeks, I had to give her fluids to ensure she was staying hydrated,” Brianne went on to add.

With loads of love and attention, Ann began to shine again!

“Everyday my husband and I are blown away with how much progress that she has made,” Brianne said.

“She is now out and about, socializing with our cats and other fosters, climbing the cat trees and playing with toys. I think at least once a day we look at her and comment that she is a true feline now.”

Ann absolutely loves climbing cat trees and she is also an avid bird watcher from the windows. And she adores people!

Ann recovered all of her weight in just about four months to over 10 pounds.

“This sweet girl fought and proved us all wrong. When I took her in I assumed it most likely, because of her condition, would be for hospice care. She never gave up, so neither did we.”

Ann truly and clearly shows and demonstrates that now one should ever give up and that every single day is precious.

She has loads of love to give and she can’t wait to share it!

Cat Returns Home After Her Human Posts Missing Signs Calling Her a ‘Jerk’

Perhaps cats are able read?

A North Carolina makeup artist named Mary Irwin, has a cat who went missing from her home.

Just like many other pet owners who end up in this overwhelming and upsetting position, Irwin created “missing” signs which she posted around her neighborhood.

The signs included an accurate physical description of Babou and a rather honest overview of the feline’s personality, as well.

“She’s kind of a jerk,” noted part of the sign which Irwin posted in the Charlotte neighborhood of Ballantyne.

These notices not only caught the attention of some of her neighbors, but the world wide web as well.

Irwin’s sign actually did go viral, with many wondering why she would ever call her cat a jerk.

“She knows how she is supposed to behave but she likes to see what she can get away with. She has a scratching post but if she’s mad at us, she’ll wait until we’re looking at her, then she’ll walk over to the couch and stick out one paw and run it slowly down the side of the couch. Like a teenager.”

The owner also explained that the cat will cuddle for about 2.5 seconds before acting very independent. However, Babou is a sweetheart to the vet and to all new people she meets.

Regardless of Babou’s occasional yet obvious sassy demeanor, Irwin truly does love her cat, quirks and all, and was actually worried sick about her during the days she was missing.

Thankfully, the cat — in Babou’s usual fashion — did end up returning of her own accord.

“I had just gotten off the phone with a Canadian radio show talking about her and was talking to a friend on the other line — heard a scream from the other room and then my husband saying “WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN???” Irwin explained to PEOPLE in an email. “And lo and behold, there she was, walking through the front door 5 days after going missing, totally soaked and a few pounds thinner but safe.”

Irwin is very relieved and completely ecstatic to have Babou back scratching her sofa. Perhaps this experience will prompt her to be a little less of a jerk, but more than likely – not!
